Hide & Hatch is very happy to partner with Tandy Ft Worth to showcase some of our work with a “Back to School” theme this month, specifically made with many tools, supplies, and materials available from Tandy (noted in descriptions below).
If you want to try your hand at making some items for yourself, they have a great assortment of most of what you would need as a maker. If, however, you prefer to work with us to create a special bespoke product just for you, please contact us to discuss.

STUDENT BACKPACK
Featuring Tandy Designer Whole Hide body and Suede Split padded rear panel and shoulder straps with Tandy nickel-plated d-rings / clips / tri-glides and aluminum rivets & burrs.
LAPTOP SLEEVE
Hand-carved natural Veg-Tan front panel lined with Tandy’s Veg-Tan Sheepskin Natural finished with Angelus leather paint and 4-Coat High Gloss, Fiebing’s Deglazer, Antique (Light Brown), Pro-Resist, and Leather Balm w/ Atom Wax. Rear panel body features Tandy Hidden Utility Cinnamon leather. Hand stitched with Ritza Tiger Thread (0.6mm, purple) using Tandy size 000 harness needles. Edges burnished with clear Tokonole.
MOUSE PAD
Natural Veg-Tan front, memory foam padded wrist rest covered in Tandy Designer Side white chrome-tan. Floral designs hand-carved using Sheridan Corners Craftaid pattern. Purple Denver Side chrome-tan pull-up rear panel. Hand-stitched with Tandy 000-sized harness needle using Ritza Tiger Thread (0.6mm, purple). Front panel finished using Fiebing’s Antique (Dark Brown), Pro-Resist, and Leather Balm w/ Atom Wax. Glued using Tandy’s Ecoweld water-based contact adhesive, and edge finished using Tokonole.
NOTEBOOK COVER
Constructed from Tandy Hand-Stained Pontedero Italian-finished veg-tan with natural Veg-Tan interior accent pieces. Hand-stitched with Ritza Tiger Thread (1.0mm, brown) using standard Tandy Stitching Needles. Edges burnished with Angelus Burnishing Gum.
APPLE WATCH STRAP
Ring lizard strap (see your local Tandy store for rotating selection of exotic skins), Denver Side keeper, and natural Veg-Tan reverse. Tandy watch hardware (buckle & spring bar lug connectors, in silver), and Ritza Tiger Thread stitching. Edges finished with Fiebing’s Edge Kote.
